Hi! I’m Pawan Kumar Upadhyay, a Geography teacher and researcher from Amouna, Rohtas (Bihar). I work as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Veer Kunwar Singh College Dharupur, Bikramganj (VKSU, Ara). I hold a Ph.D. in Geography with my research focused on Water Resource Management in Rohtas District. I also have a Master’s in Geography, a UGC NET qualification, and training in Geospatial Technology, Satellite Meteorology, and Doppler Weather Radar.
My research combines modern mapping tools and eco-friendly ideas to find better ways to manage water resources and protect our environment. I enjoy bringing these ideas into the classroom and showing students how Geography connects to real life.
Along with teaching, I keep learning through conferences, workshops, and training programmes, so I can share the latest knowledge with my students. I always encourage students to explore fieldwork, GIS, Remote Sensing, and other practical skills to make Geography more interesting.
I’m also a member of the Society for Environment and Sustainable Development (SESD), New Delhi. My goal is to help students understand Geography in an engaging way and inspire them to think about a sustainable future.

मेरे बारे में
नमस्कार! मैं पवन कुमार उपाध्याय, भूगोल विषय के शिक्षक और शोधकर्ता, अमौना, रोहतास (बिहार) से हूँ। वर्तमान में मैं वीर कुँवर सिंह कॉलेज, धरुपुर, बिक्रमगंज (वीर कुँवर सिंह विश्वविद्यालय, आरा) के भूगोल विभाग में सहायक प्राध्यापक के रूप में कार्यरत हूँ। मैंने भूगोल में पीएच.डी. पूरी की है, जिसमें मेरा शोध रोहतास जिला में जल संसाधन प्रबंधन पर केन्द्रित था। मैंने भूगोल में स्नातकोत्तर किया है, यूजीसी नेट (UGC NET) उत्तीर्ण किया है और जियोस्पेशियल टेक्नोलॉजी, सैटेलाइट मौसम विज्ञान, और डॉप्लर मौसम रडार में भी प्रशिक्षण लिया है।
मेरा शोध कार्य आधुनिक नक्शा तकनीक और पर्यावरण के अनुकूल तरीकों को जोड़कर जल संसाधनों के बेहतर प्रबंधन और पर्यावरण संरक्षण के उपाय तलाशता है। मैं ये बातें कक्षा में छात्रों को भी बताता हूँ ताकि वे भूगोल को किताबों से आगे भी समझ सकें।
पढ़ाने के साथ-साथ मैं लगातार सेमिनार, कार्यशाला और प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमों में भाग लेता हूँ ताकि नवीनतम जानकारी छात्रों तक पहुँचा सकूँ। मैं हमेशा अपने छात्रों को फील्डवर्क, जीआईएस, रिमोट सेंसिंग जैसी व्यावहारिक तकनीकें सीखने के लिए प्रेरित करता हूँ जिससे भूगोल पढ़ना और भी रोचक हो जाए।
मैं सोसाइटी फॉर एनवायरनमेंट एंड सस्टेनेबल डेवलपमेंट (SESD), नई दिल्ली का सदस्य भी हूँ। मेरा उद्देश्य छात्रों को भूगोल को सरल, रोचक और व्यावहारिक तरीके से समझाना और उन्हें टिकाऊ विकास के लिए प्रेरित करना है।
